What You Need To Know About King Charles III Coronation

King Charles III coronation commemorative collection

On the 6th of May 2023, the Coronation of King Charles III will take place at Westminster Abbey, in London. There are many planned events taking place across the whole of the UK to help celebrate the King's special day. Street parties and local events are encouraged.

On the 8th of May there is an extra bank holiday, which falls on the Monday after the Coronation. People are encouraged to hold street parties, celebrate with friends, families and their communities. It is the perfect way to celebrate the new King and the Royal Family as a whole.

King Charles III coronation party invites

At Making Meadows, we wanted to celebrate King Charles III in the only way we know how; through beautiful stationery, writing paper and wrapping paper! We have just launched a Royal Collection celebrating all things London, Royalty and The King. We even threw in a few London pigeons for good measure.

We are particularly excited about our beautiful King Charles III Coronation Invitations. The illustrations have been hand painted by us with watercolours, giving them a whimsical and unique style. Perfect for children and adults alike. They really are beautiful invites that you will want to keep.

The Coronation is the ideal opportunity to get together with friends, family and local residents. Why not organise a street party in your area? You can tell everyone to bring along a plate of food and some drink to share. All you need to do is arrange a time and a place, then pop a Coronation Party Invite through everyones doors.

Kings Coronation Bunting

You can even entertain the children in the community by letting them make a string of DIY Coronation Bunting. This DIY craft kit should keep the young ones entertained for hours, while the adults can enjoy some relaxation time. Don't forget to string up the beautiful bunting once it's complete. The perfect way to commemorate the Kings Coronation.

If you are as excited as we are about the Kings Coronation, then don't forget to check out our Royal Collection. It certainly is fit for a King! (Or Queen)
