Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where are your stationery products made?
Most of our products are designed, printed, and assembled in our studio in Surrey, UK. They are made in small batches so we have minimal waste. Some products we can't make in our studio (yet), so we outsource them. We try to use UK suppliers when we can. We are always looking for ways to improve and become more sustainable.
2. Are your products eco-friendly?
Yes! We use FSC-certified suppliers for our writing paper and wrapping paper and our Kraft envelopes are recycled and made in the UK. We only use plastic-free packaging and when packaging needs a little extra protection (international orders) we use compostable bags that can go straight in your home compost bin.
3. Do you offer personalised stationery?
Yes, we offer personalised writing paper sets, which make perfect gifts or a treat for yourself. We also sell personalised notebooks, which are available in lined and unlined paper.
4. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, and more.
5. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to USA, Canada, Australia & New Zealand. Delivery rates and times vary depending on the destination. Please be mindful the international orders do take a while to arrive, so order with plenty of time to avoid disappointment.
6. Do you offer free delivery?
We provide free UK delivery on orders over £35.
7. How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders are typically dispatched within 1-2 working days. Delivery times vary based on location. We send our orders out on a 48 hour tracked Royal Mail service. You can upgrade to a 24 hour tracked service at the checkout if you need your order faster.
8. Can I request a custom design?
Currently, we don’t offer fully bespoke designs. However, you can personalise selected products with your name.
Products & Sustainability
9. What materials do you use in your stationery?
We use FSC-certified suppliers for our 100 gsm smooth writing paper and our 100 gsm matt wrapping paper. Our Kraft envelopes are recycled and made in the UK. We only use plastic-free packaging. All of your orders are loving hand wrapped in tissue paper before being sent out.
10. How are your designs created?
All designs start as hand-painted artworks by Samantha, which are then transformed into premium stationery. Samantha has a background in illustration. Having studied at university, she then went on to become a greeting card designer, followed by a product designer. After a few years as a design manager she decided it was time to try & make her dream of owning a company a reality. With many years experience in the industry, starting a company came naturally to her & from that Making Meadows has grown steadily over the last 5 years.
11. Do you sell themed collections?
Yes, we offer many different themes and designs on our eco friendly stationery. We have a particularly large writing paper collection with a variety of designs to choose from.
12. Are your products printed in bulk?
No, we print in small batches to minimise waste and ensure quality.
13. Do you support any charities?
Yes, we donated to BugLife charity to support meadow conservation. With every purchase of a Personalised Writing Paper Set, we donate £1.50 to their B-Line project. B-lines are a series of insect pathways consisting of wildflowers that link up existing wildlife areas across the UK. These B-Lines help bees, butterflies and other wildlife to navigate across the countryside. Your £1.50 helps to plant 6 square meters of wildflower. Orders & Returns
14. Can I track my order?
Yes, tracking is available for most orders. You’ll receive tracking details once your order is dispatched. The only items that are not tracked are items such as single greeting cards or single bookmarks. As these are smaller items, they are sent as small letters which aren't trackable. However, if you need tracking you can always upgrade at the checkout.
15. What is your returns policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of receipt for unused and undamaged items. Personalised products cannot be returned unless faulty. Please contact us if you have any questions or problems and we will help you out. We aren't scary.
16. Can I change or cancel my order?
Please contact us as soon as possible. Changes or cancellations may not be possible once production has started, especially if it is a personalised product.
17. Do you offer gift wrapping?
We don’t currently provide gift wrapping, but our products make beautiful gifts as they are.
