Making Meadows was founded back in 2019 by Samantha Marando. Back then we had the same views on sustainability as we do today. The only difference was, we actually had a different company name. We were called Okey Dokey Design.

As a young business we were changing and evolving quite a bit. We explored different products and designs to find a path that felt right for us. We grew organically and learnt from our customers what they really wanted. 

As we grew we realised we were focusing more and more on nature, country living and wildlife. It was important to us. We also loved the fact that our customers were females of all ages, with one thing in common, the love of nature! 

In 2022, we wanted to celebrate this realisation with a name change that lived and breathed what our focus was. Along with that came a new beautiful website and some exciting changes. Making Meadows was born.

Creating high quality products that last the test of time is important to us as at Making Meadows. It is key that our writing paper, gifts and cards are not only pretty to look at but are functional too. Sustainability is at the heart of our business. Our paper is sourced from an FSC-certified supplier, our kraft envelopes are made from recycled paper & our packaging is all plastic free. We are not perfect, but we try to be the best we can be. Samantha has a background in illustration. Having studied at university, she then went on to become a greeting card designer, followed by a product designer. After a few years as a design manager she decided it was time to try & make her dream of owning a company a reality. With many years experience in the industry, starting a company came naturally to her & from that Making Meadows has grown steadily over the last 5 years.

Over the years the company has grown from a small selection of greeting cards to a large collection of stationery, gifts & most importantly writing paper. Our aim is to create beautiful, high quality products that make you smile & are also eco friendly to the world. Because that’s important to us. Often focusing on florals & woodland animals but not restricted to them, each product often starts with a painting. This gives our products a unique and extra special feel to them.
